Michael Shannon

Fractional CFO

Michael provides Fractional CFO services to our clients at ClearBooks, leveraging his vast experience in finance to help them achieve their strategic goals. With a background in treasury operations, deal structuring, and financial strategy, Michael is adept at driving growth and ensuring financial stability. He specializes in FP&A, treasury operations, optimizing debt and equity financing, managing complex revenue cycles, and handling comprehensive risk management.

Michael’s worked for over a decade at Deutsche Bank in Leveraged Finance, followed by key roles as Treasurer and Head of FP&A at Pyxus International and Redwire Space. There, he played a crucial role in integrating eight acquisitions and led the financial strategy during Redwire Space’s public offering.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Michael served as a submarine officer and diver in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, experiences that sharpened his leadership and crisis management skills.

Michael holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (Summa Cum Laude), an M.S. in Nuclear Engineering, and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he was recognized as a Donald B. Bibeault Scholar.
